Our Team

In 1990 Gary obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, in 1992 Gary completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting and in 1993 he passed the Public Accountants and Auditors Board Exams and became a qualified Chartered Accountant. He did his articles at Grant Thornton International whereafter he was a partner at AML Financial Services, an accounting practice, working with a wide client base across various industries. In 2006 he took up a Chief Financial Officer role in Commerce for the holding company of a large commercial enterprise and at the end of 2009 he left Commerce and started Sagaz Consulting.

Joy Tamsyn Stevens

In 2001 Joy obtained a Business Science degree honouring in Finance and in the following year went on to complete a post graduate diploma in accounting at the University of Cape Town. In 2004 Joy passed her Public Accountants and Auditors Board Exams and became a qualified Chartered Accountant. Joy completed her articles at the international auditing firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where she worked for 4 years across various sectors and large scale corporations. She also spent time in the USA, completing a secondment with PwC in New York City and Cincinnati. On her return in 2007 to the end of 2010 Joy joined a large commercial enterprise in Commerce as the financial manager. In 2011 Joy joined Sagaz Consulting where she manages the accounting side of the practise as well as overseeing the accounting team. She also assists on the tax and consulting side of the business.
